I also set up and run the Edinburgh BSL Group, a British Sign Language practice and user group which meets weekly. In 2008, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA (Hons) in Learning Disability Studies; a degree course which is based around the social model of disability. My role with SDSS will involve me capacity-building existing and evolving membership organisations to further the Independent Living Movement." |

The Board of Trustees are elected by the membership. Currently, 4 full membership organisations are represented on the board.
