£500 bonus for Personal Assistants – update

We’re working with Scottish Government to confirm the best way for Personal Assistants (PAs) to apply for, and receive, their thank you payment of up to £500.

You may know that the payment process for the £500 thank you payment to social care staff working in the third, voluntary, charitable and private sector launched on Monday 1 February. However, the process will be different for Personal Assistants.

With the way payments are made to PAs differing across Scotland, it is important that we understand the involvement our members should, and can, have in the bonus payment process.

To help create the simplest and most effective bonus payment process, which would benefit our members, we’d encourage you to complete this short survey.
