The Scottish Government Self-directed Support (SDS) site is no longer in use and you have been redirected to Self Directed Support Scotland (SDSS), an independent organisation that can help you to find local support and advice on SDS. Read more about these changes and how we can help.

A dedicated online and paper based application form, administered by Scotland Excel on behalf of the Scottish Government, launched on Wed 30 June 2021 to pay Personal Assistants who are eligible to receive their £500 payment for NHS and Social Care staff.

What we do

SDSS champions local Independent Support organisations who provide quality advice and support on Self-directed Support. We campaign for true SDS implementation when it comes to social care delivery throughout Scotland.
