Equalities Impacts – Proposed Market Restrictions of Single-Use Plastics

December 4, 2020

A new policy to restrict the availability of single-use plastic, such as plastic straws, plastic plates, and plastic cutlery, is being proposed by the Scottish Government.

We know things need to change to help our planet, and reducing single-use plastic is a step in the right direction. However, we also know that the restrictions may have a disproportionate impact for some people with disabilities.

Zero Waste Scotland is looking for people with disabilities, and/or their carers, to answer a few questions about how they may be impacted by the restrictions.

Please click here to take part in a short survey about the use of single-use plastic items. The survey will close at 23.59 on Sunday 20 December 2020.
