We know that an estimated 24% of Scottish households with a disabled person live in relative poverty after housing costs (source), so it’s important that people struggling financially are able to find the right support.
The Scottish Government has launched the Money Support Scotland campaign for people in Scotland experiencing money worries, including a new website, moneysupport.scot, which pulls together all the support that’s there for you, in one place.
The helpful website includes advice and guidance on:
- what support you might be entitled to;
- dealing with problem debts and the stress they cause; and
- where to access affordable credit.
