Time: 9.30 - 4.30

Location: Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde

SDS National Voice is Scotland’s only national conference dedicated to Self-Directed Support.

SDS National Voice is Scotland’s only national conference dedicated to Self-Directed Support.

For the first time, in 2026 we’ll be hosting the conference at the Technology and Innovation Centre at University of Strathclyde in Glasgow! We want to reach even more people than before to support people across the SDS sector to learn and lead others toward better SDS implementation. The day will be packed with presentations, discussion, workshops and networking opportunities.

For those who prefer to take part in the conference online, the main presentations will be live-streamed, free of charge.

Programme

In 2026 our theme is “Learning and Leading”. We know that across Scotland there are many people working in the SDS sector who have rich insights, knowledge and experience that are very worthwhile and valuable, particularly when shared across organisations and public bodies. The conference will be a chance to reflect on how we can learn together in partnership, and act as leaders in and out of our own networks towards improving the implementation of SDS.

With the next Scottish Parliament election due in the months following the conference, it will be more important than ever to reflect on how we support both existing and newly elected Members of Scottish Parliament to learn and lead around improving SDS policy. The conference will be a space to learn about current developments in SDS but also how we progress the values and principles of SDS across the sector.

Tickets

The conference is aimed at people working in, or with an interest in, Self-directed Support from across the sector, and attracts people from Independent Support Organisations, Local Authorities, care and support providers, Scottish Government, and the third sector.
