Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Open to all

You’re invited to explore mental health, inclusion and social care at the ALLIANCE’s annual conference this June.

The experiences of people with lived experience of mental health issues in relation to Self-directed Support (SDS) will be explored as part of the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland’s (ALLIANCE) annual conference on 10 June 2021.

Dr Hannah Tweed (ALLIANCE) will present findings from the SDSS and ALLIANCE research project, ‘My Support My Choice’. Tom Scott and a See Me Scotland volunteer will then explore practical and systematic ways of reducing mental health stigma and discrimination in the delivery of SDS.

The online workshop will look at foundational mental health inclusion elements of SDS in light of the ‘My Support, My Choice’ report, and participants will be invited to discuss how to ensure equitable access to social care.

This live session will be recorded. Accessibility – BSL / English interpreters and electronic note-takers will be provided for this session.
